Great, longer(almost fifteen minute) interview with Austin’s own Sloke One via BoyCottMag.com breaking down his graffiti influences and nationwide and international projects. Look out for something special coming soon!

It’s been a minute since we’ve done a Music Monday post. Technically, this isn’t a music video; it’s a video of Sloke One, Mez, and Slie killing it here in Austin,TX w/ Ratatat in the background with great filming from Zapatista Films. Next level stuff here.
Thursday night in Austin,TX was action-packed when Robert Rodriguez rolled out his latest over-the-top romp “Machete”. I had the opportunity to work on this project (thanks to Third Coast Casting and Beth Sepko for the opportunity) as an extra in the Chop Shop scene. I’m the guy in the bandana working on the car and carrying the mini-gun and ammo before the showdown. Needless to say, the experience was incredibly cool!
The premiere was jam-packed and the highlight of the night for me was being able to give Danny Trejo my painting in person-he couldn’t have been a nicer guy:

Below is a video from the aftershow Q&A where I had the opportunity to get onstage with the rest of the cast and director. Definately a night to remember!
Myke Chambers is an Austin,TX tattoo artist that specializes in traditional Americana flash style and Japanese with his own unique spin. His lines are solid and his colors are SUPER vivid:

Here’s an interview he did with Austin-Artists.com:
In an interview with Tattoosnob.com earlier this year, Chambers stated that he was working on a new reality show called “America’s Top Tattoo Artist”, so it looks like there’s more in store for him as far as wider exposure.
